This is the 2012 event setup
The riders take off right below the diving platform just like in the previous years. This year we start with our redesigned pool. Same entry, same height but different exit possibilities. Compared to our Silas Thurman signature pool from last year we changed the stair set at the end. By adding a double kinked rail at the right side we made this the most challenging UNIT feature in this setup. On the left side riders will find a low to high ledge which invites to throw big exits.
Introducing UNIT Parktech’s newest features: Our Tech Series. Designed for both intermediate and advanced riders, this series of features covers all grounds. We sat together with our Research & Development team and came out with so many ideas that we decided to spread them over four new rails. Each rail has its roots in street-skateboarding and supports creative rail riding in different lines. The way they are set up on this gap will even broaden the transfer options. With other words, this is where creative riders will stand out.
Like every year the legendary UNIT quarter pipe is back and better than ever. Thanks to new construction technology, we made the riding surface seamless. We made it wider for bigger airs and added an extension. Never been ridden before, we are curious how the riders will use this add-on. To complete the real quarter pipe look, we added a PE coping which results in less friction and optimized control.
Another new addition to our kicker family is our XL-Kicker. After putting a lot of thought in this, we didn’t just change the size, but created a whole new kicker. Hopefully we will see O’Neill Wake the Line´s first double flip!
